It is an Italian luxury fashion design house. Founded in 1974 by Silvano Gerani and Giuliana Marchini, the house produces women's and men's 'prêt-a-porter', accessories, perfumes and children's clothing. It is part of the Gilmar Group, which was founded in 1962. It is headquartered in San Giovanni in Marignano, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The son of the founders, Paolo Gerani, is the creator and director. Starting out as specialists in knitwear, Iceberg was an early proponent of the modern sportswear concept, later expanding into leather apparel and jeans. Its products have been worn by Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Lil' Flip, Lil' Belle, Lil' Kim and Mischa Barton. Lil' Flip references Iceberg's clothing in several of his songs. In July 2011 the company's collection was presented at the Brandry runway in Barcelona
